"How is the God of love, becoming the love of God in you, poured out in extravagant love for others? How are you being invited to give your all, because you have found what means all?"
Sunday Morning at Central: "A Sweet Fragrance Poured Out"
"Friends, grace breaks in when we recognize these others as our brothers and sisters. And more, when we begin to see the power of grace to restore life to those who were dead, and bring the lost ones home. All heaven rejoices, and we who are outside harrumphing and protesting are invited to come and join the party. More than anything else -- more than our obedience, more than our hard work, more than keeping the law -- more than anything God wants to be with us. God wants the family to be together, relationships restored and whole."

"There is a God who knows you, who loves you, who wants to be with you. There is a God who eagerly awaits your arrival, whether soon or late. There is a God in whom true life may be found. There is a God whose arms are as wide as earth itself, who in a voice as loud as thunder and as quiet as your beating heart, pronounces the judgment: Welcome home."

Sunday Morning at Central: Becoming an inclusive Church for Mental Health
"One of the defining phrases of the Presbyterian Church USA is, the church reformed, always reforming. What am I, what are you, what are we, doing about the “always reforming” part? What are you cultivating that is new, that stretches your boundaries? What are you learning to let go of that no longer works? What mask or old skin do you need to shed? Where are you taking a leap of faith?"
BUILDING CLOSED WEDNESDAY Due to the winter weather predicted, Central will be closed Wednesday, March 13. All programs are canceled.
"The authentic spiritual life will not take us from mountaintop to mountaintop, nor keep us perpetually high. Instead these bright moments of clarity -- rare though they may be -- will strengthen us to live in the valley of real life."

"We love, not to get something, but because love changes the way the world works. Instead of shame we experience acceptance and grace; longstanding enmity and estranged relationships are reconciled beyond anything imaginable."

Don't forget to sign up for a Lenten Study Group! Our Lenten Study, Cultivating and Letting Go, does not require homework and uses art as an important way of learning and connecting. Since Lent is traditionally a season when we give something up as a means for spiritual growth, this study invites us to ponder what God is cultivating in and through us, and also what we are letting go of to allow space for something new to grow.
